The Lavender Tape is an ode to arguably one of the greatest Hip-Hop albums ever released, Raekwon's Only Built For Cuban Linx AKA The Purple Tape.
Duck City Music wanted to pay homage to an album that greatly influenced an entire generation of music, particularly the golden age of boombap!
CHJ and NdaKut are definitely graduates from the Wu-Tang school of music and wanted to flex a lil bit as well as have fun as they rhymed over some of the RZA's most timeless/popular productions!
